KalaCharan is a Music Producer/Composer/Multi-Instrumentalist, born-bred in Singapore, He has thorough experiences in Composing, Songwriting, Music Producing and Arranging. He started off as a percussionist/drummer at the ripe age of 5 years. He was also part of his symphonic and military band during his school days, where he was exposed to various genres of music and performances. Thus, honing his skills in music making. During his tertiary years, he was part of many touring project bands in the genres of Rock, Pop, Jazz, New Age, World Music styles. This got him enthralled into Music composing. His keen interest in Sounds and Textures are his forte. He also runs his own Music Production company, KC Productions.

 

He had done numerous works with Feature Films, OTT Series. He has also done works for Channel 5, Channel 8 and Vasantham.

A very well highlighted moment would be getting nominated in` Asian Television Awards 2014 for Best Theme Song and interestingly, it was for a Chinese Series, “The Recruit Diaries”. As well as getting nominated for Best Original Composition category in Pradhan Vizha 2021, MediaCorp Vasantham.

He also takes pride in mentioning that he has scored for Indian Regional Feature Films for the past few years and has signed on to a couple more projects recently.
